A host of Nottingham Forest stars have been in action for their respective nations over the weekend as the first round of international fixtures began.

Matz Sels earned his ninth cap for Belgium on Friday evening as the Red Devils picked up a World Cup qualifying point against North Macedonia.

Belgium round off the international period by welcoming Wales to Brussels this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

Neco Williams will not be involved in the fixture after picking up an ankle injury during Wales’ fixture against Liechtenstein on Friday evening.

The Club will continue to assess Neco upon his return.

Ibrahim Sangaré and Chris Wood both rose from the substitutes’ bench as New Zealand and Ivory Coast faced off in the Canadian Shield.

The All Whites claimed the win by a single goal just before the half time whistle. The Kiwis are back in action on Tuesday when they face Ukraine (kick-off 10pm), while Côte d’Ivoire face Canada on Wednesday (kick-off 1.30am).

Ramón Sosa came off the bench to help Paraguay to a 2-0 win over Uruguay to maintain La Albirroja’s place in the top three of the South America World Cup qualifiers.

Paraguay are next in action on Wednesday when they take on Brazil (kick-off 1.45am).

Anthony Elanga was named Player of the Match for Sweden in their 2-0 friendly win against Hungary with Blågult facing Algeria in their second friendly tomorrow (kick-off 6pm).

Forest’s 2024/25 Player of the Season Nikola Milenković completed the full 90 minutes for Serbia in their goalless World Cup qualifier draw with Albania.

Andorra are Serbia’s next opponents tomorrow at 7.45pm.

Elsewhere, Morgan Gibbs-White rose from the bench during England’s World Cup qualifier win against Andorra on Saturday, where Harry Kane’s goal was enough for the three points in Barcelona.

The Forest midfielder could feature at the City Ground tomorrow night when the Three Lions face Senegal in a friendly at our world-famous home (kick-off 7.45pm).
