- Marj enjoys special day as club guest
- She returned to The City Ground after 30 years away
- Club rolled out the red carper for our special supporter
Marj has been a Nottingham Forest supporter since she was just eight years old, her first visit to The City Ground was an incredible 93 years ago and her first match in 1931.
Now a resident of Fairway View Care Home, Marj has been unable to return to The City Ground in 30 years, but always maintained her support for the club from afar. That was until yesterday.
At the incredible age of 101, we were delighted to welcome her to our fixture against Leicester City and given her years of unwavering support we wanted her return to be a special one.

After heading down the tunnel to the stadium bowl alongside her family, she was presented with a special shirt by John McGovern pitchside before undertaking a Stadium Tour and Museum experience, reliving some of the precious moments when she was a regular at The City Ground.
After familiarising herself with the home of the Reds, Marj headed outside to welcome Nuno Espírito Santo and the players ahead of the match with each member of the squad taking time to welcome her back to the stadium.
Before kick-off, she headed to her seat to join the rest of the crowd in singing her heart out to Mull of Kintyre, a moment she’d looked forward to for so long.
Everyone at the club was delighted to welcome Marj to the game and give her, and her family an experience full of moments to live long in their memories. She will always be an important part of our Forest Family.
