Arriving in the summer from Huddersfield Town, O’Brien has quickly settled into life on Trentside.

After a string of impressive performances, the energetic midfielder helped The Terriers reach the Championship play-off final last season before joining The Reds in July.

Born in Colchester, O’Brien spent a season on loan with Bradford City in League One during the 2018/19 campaign.
