Brazil international defender Renan Lodi arrived on Trentside from Spanish giants Atlético Madrid in August, initially on loan for the 2022/23 season.

After making his debut for Brazil in 2019, Lodi was a key component in the Atlético side that were crowned La Liga champions in 2020.

Prior to his spell in Spain, Lodi rose through the ranks at Athletico Paranaense and helped the Brazilian side lift the Copa Sudamericana and Campeonato Paranaense in 2018.
