The 20-year-old Kosovo international is a highly-rated shotstopper who featured in City's run to the Carabao Cup final last season, playing in their matches against Oxford United, Fulham and Leicester City and the two-legged semi-final against Burton Albion.

As a youngster, Swiss-born Muric played for the youth teams of FC Zurich and Grasshoppers before making the move to Manchester City in 2015 with a reputation of being one the brightest young goalkeepers in the game.

Having initially only featured for City's Under 21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, Muric was then given his full debut in September 2018 for the 3-0 Carabao Cup victory at Oxford and he went on to perform superbly in the quarter-final at Leicester, saving two penalties in the shoot-out to ensure City progressed to the last four.

Those displays earned him international recognition from Kosovo and he has since played in their last three European Championship qualifiers and is expected to be between the sticks when his nation play England in Southampton in September.

The club's fifth signing of the summer, Muric now joins up with the rest of the squad for training before they depart for the pre-season trip to Greece later this week.
