Welcome to the Community Roots Program, where we believe netball is for everyone! Our inclusive program is designed to develop skills and foster a sense of belonging among participants of all abilities. Whether you are new to the sport or looking to enhance your skills, our experienced coaches provide tailored support to help you grow both on and off the court.

Please note that the Lead Safeguarding Officer may refer the matter to the NGB England Netball, Local Authority Children’s Services Department, the Police, or Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) should the child need immediate attention.

HOW TO REPORT A CONCERN
There is a section on the England Netball website dedicated to reporting safeguarding concerns.
Concerns can be raised by sending an email to besafe@englandnetball.co.uk or using and completing the concern report form found through the link above.
Any adult concerned about the welfare of a child or young person can call the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or email help@nspcc.org.uk. A dedicated O2/NSPCC online safety helpline is available on 0808 800 5002. Children can contact ChildLine for free on 0800 1111 or visit childline.org.uk and speak to a counsellor about a worry or concern they may have 365-days-a-year.

FAQs
What to wear?
Session 1 wear own sports clothing. You will be provided with Forest Kit (Training Top and Quarter Zip) following session 1. Please wear Forest Training Kit with own shorts or leggings after that point.
What to bring to the sessions?

What time to arrive?
10 minutes prior to the session start time.
Can parents or guardians watch?
Parents or guardians are free to watch if viewing is available and not court side.
Pick up time?
We ask parents or guardians to be there 10minutes before the end of the session.
Can you be in a Forest Roots Program and Forest Performance Pathway?
We recommend you are only involved in one program; however, some Roots Players may progress into our Performance Pathway.
Can you be in the County Program and the Forest Roots Program?
Yes, as long as the training nights do not clash.
Do you need to be a part of a netball club to be in the Forest Roots Program?
No this is not required however if you are a part of a club, you can also attend the Roots Program.
