Their last fixture in March saw them win 5-0 against Bolton and now The Reds have been awarded the league title.
Academy manager, Gary Brazil, said: "I'm delighted for the whole academy set-up. Every member of staff involved through all the age groups has a part to play in player development and this achievement is a reflection of all their hard work, both on and off the pitch."
Gareth Holmes's Under 18s finished in 5th place in the Professional Development League North table, with their season also decided by points-per-game, with Wigan Athletic crowned the league winners.
