The forward joins the club from fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town, strengthening the attacking options available to head coach Sabri Lamouchi.
The 23-year-old, who can play out wide and through the middle, offers plenty of pace to the front line and brings experience of playing in the Champions League, the Premier League and in the French top flight.
The former French Under 21 international started out in the youth ranks of SM Caen and Rennes before going on to feature for Rennes’ first-team and then in the Champions League during a season at Monaco.
He joined Huddersfield, featuring in the Premier League last season, but now moves to The City Ground until the end of the current campaign.
