The defender has been an integral part of the squad since he returned to The City Ground in the summer of 2018, showcasing his leadership qualities both on and off the pitch.
The 36-year-old started his career at Forest, coming through the ranks to make his debut in 2002. He made just shy of 100 appearances in his first spell at the club, then going on to play close to 400 Premier League matches for Tottenham and Hull and represent England on four occasions.
He has played 28 times in his second stint on Trentside, scoring in the 3-0 victory over Birmingham earlier this season, and has now extended his stay with The Reds.
