Trollope has a wealth of experience as a player, manager and coach and teams up with Chris Hughton once again to assist the new Forest manager.
The former Welsh international has previously worked with Hughton during his time at Birmingham, Norwich and Brighton, and also lists Bristol Rovers and Cardiff City as former clubs he has managed, and the club would like to wish Paul the best of luck in his new role.
