Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce the formation of the City Talent Centre (CTC) specifically for male players who are based within the City of Nottingham.
The club are passionate about providing opportunities for all players and are inviting players to register for open trials to join the CTC, but with a specific focus on players who live in the following areas of the city only, therefore only players who live in these areas should register at this time:
- Basford
- Bobbers Mill
- Clifton
- Lenton
- Radford
- Sneinton
- The Meadows
- Wollaton
- Bilborough
- Bulwell
- Hyson Green and The Forest Recreation
- Sherwood and Carrington
- St Anns
The chance for players who live outside of these areas will follow in the future.
The CTC is formed and run by the club's academy staff and will reflect the environment created for the club's elite players from the ages of six to 13 years. The CTC will be free for all participants, giving the young talent in the City of Nottingham an opportunity to experience academy-standard coaching, develop their footballing ability and possibly be invited into the academy programme at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
To start the programme, the club are inviting players to register for an open trial period that will last for three weeks. To do this, please register here, ensuring that all fields are completed. Following this, you will receive a confirmation email for your son's session to attend. This will be on one of the following dates:
- Under 6s-Under 8s – Monday 26th April, Monday 3rd May, Monday 10th May
- Under 9s-Under 11s – Tuesday 27th April, Tuesday 4th May, Tuesday 11th May
- Under 12s-Under 13s – Thursday 29th April, Thursday 6th May, Thursday 13th May
The CTC trials will take place at Forest Sports Zone, Gregory Boulevard, Forest Fields, Nottingham, NG7 6LD, with all sessions running from 5-6pm.
Each player will have the chance to attend one session and then players who the club would like to invite back to attend the CTC for a prolonged period will be contacted to start from the week commencing 17th May 2021.
