Nottingham Forest defender Aaron Donnelly has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Donnelly, 18, featured for the first team during pre-season and appeared in the 2-0 win at Port Vale in July, coming on as a second half substitute.
The Northern Irish defender has also featured heavily for the Under 18s and Under 23s and will be part of Head Coach Andy Reid's side for the upcoming Premier League 2 campaign, beginning against Aston Villa on Friday.
"I'm delighted to sign my first professional contract," he said.
"I've loved my time here so far and I can't wait to kick-on now. The coaches have been fantastic with me and I feel like my game is developing here.
"I look at players like Joe Worrall and Ryan Yates who have been in the first team for a number of seasons and they go to show there's a pathway there for the young players.
"Now it's time for me to keep working hard, we have an exciting season ahead and we're all really looking forward to it."
Forest Under 23s Head Coach, Andy Reid, said: "It's been great to have Aaron with us,"
"He's really developed over the past 12 months and was impressive when progressing through the Under 18s last season.
"Since we've had Aaron in with us full-time, he's adapted to the demands really well and now it's up to us as a coaching staff to unlock that potential we see in him.
"Aaron knows there's a lot of hard work ahead but he'll be ready for the challenge and it's great for any young player to sign their first professional contract."
