There was some positive news for Chris Hughton as Ryan Yates and Luke Freeman are both in contention to feature against Rovers.
Yates has been sidelined through injury since the home defeat against Middlesbrough, while Freeman missed the midweek trip to Swansea after his wife gave birth.
Hughton said: "Both are available which is good news. At the moment, we are still the same.
"Sammy [Ameobi] has trained today, as did Samba [Sow], but are still just that little bit short. Those two are close but it is good to have Ryan back in again and Luke Freeman after being off on paternity leave."
Opposition team news
Tony Mowbray has confirmed that Blackburn will stil be without a number of first-team players for the trip to The City Ground.
Tom Trybull, Lewis Holtby, Bradley Johnson, Daniel Ayala and Joe Rankin-Costello remain unavailable, whilst Scott Wharton and Derrick Williams are long-term absentees.
