Nottingham Forest Women are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Amy West.

West, formerly of Aston Villa, has experience of playing in the Women's Super League and was awarded the Villans' Player of the Year award in 2018-19.

The midfielder will join up with The Reds this weekend for pre-season training as preparations for the FA Women's National League North campaign continue.

"It's a club with ambition, and we are really putting things in place to be able to compete and be successful," Amy said.

"I want to keep developing my game and bring experience into this environment and hopefully contribute to a successful season.

"I've heard great things about about how Forest operate and I've played with some of the girls in the past so I know it'll be a place where I can enjoy my football."

Forest Women head coach, Andy Cook, says he's also delighted to get the deal over the line:

"I'm delighted to be able to welcome Amy to the club," he said.

"This one came about quickly and we know the quality she has. She's exactly the right personality we want here at Forest."
