Nottingham Forest have added fixtures against Aston Villa and Burnley to their pre-season schedule.

The Reds will face Aston Villa in a friendly behind closed doors at the Premier League club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground on Wednesday, 28th July at 1pm. It will be the first time the teams have met since Forest academy graduate Matty Cash moved across the Midlands to join Villa.

Chris Hughton’s side will then host Burnley at home on Saturday, 31st July at 3pm in the final match of the pre-season schedule. The game will see former Forest players Sean Dyche, Ian Woan and Tony Loughlan return to The City Ground in the opposition dugout.

These matches complete the first team schedule which also includes July trips to Port Vale, Northampton Town and Crewe Alexandra in preparation for the 2021-22 campaign.

A reminder that supporters are advised that details concerning potential ticket and/or streaming arrangements for the pre-season friendlies will be announced in due course.

The club is very hopeful that the fixture against Burnley will see the long awaited return of supporters to The City Ground. We continue to closely monitor the UK Government’s announcements regarding lifting of lockdown restrictions and await the subsequent guidance from the EFL and the relevant health and safety authorities.

As soon as definitive information is available it will be shared with supporters through our social media channels.
