Nottingham Forest’s 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet Championship season starts with a trip to the Ricoh Arena to face Coventry City on Saturday, 7th August.

The first home league fixture where fans will hopefully be welcomed back to The City Ground is against Bournemouth on Saturday, 14th August, followed by another home fixture against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday, 18th August.

Chris Hughton’s men get their first opportunity to defend The Brian Clough Trophy with a trip to Pride Park on Saturday, 28th August. The return fixture at The City Ground is currently scheduled for Saturday, 22nd January, 2022.

The Christmas schedule includes a trip to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, followed by two home fixtures against Huddersfield (Wednesday, 29th December) and Barnsley on New Year’s Day. 

The 2022 Easter weekend offers a trip to Luton Town on Easter Friday (15th April) and a home fixture against West Bromwich Albion on Easter Monday (18th April).

The regular season culminates with a home fixture against Swansea City on Saturday, 30th April, 2022 and a visit to Hull City on Saturday, 7th May, 2022.

Rivalry will be renewed with Sheffield United at The City Ground on Tuesday, 2nd November, with the return at Bramall Lane pencilled in for Saturday, 5th March, 2022.

On the road, in addition to the trips to Coventry and Derby, the other Midlands derbies are currently scheduled for Saturday, 21st August versus Stoke City, a trip to Birmingham on Saturday, 2nd October and West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, 27th November. Forest’s trip to Peterborough United is scheduled for Saturday, 23rd April, 2022.

The Reds first visit to the capital is on Saturday, 30th October versus Queens Park Rangers, followed by Millwall on Saturday, 15th January, 2022 and Fulham on Saturday, 19th March, 2022.
