Nottingham Forest have announced their initial pre-season schedule.

The Reds will start preparations for the 2021-22 season with two fixtures against League Two sides. 

Forest visit Vale Park to take on Port Vale on Saturday, 17th July (kick-off 3pm), followed by a trip to Sixfields to face Northampton Town on Tuesday, 20th July (kick-off, 7.45pm). The Cobblers recently appointed ex-Reds manager Colin Calderwood as Assistant Manager.

Chris Hughton’s men then visit Gresty Road to face League One’s Crewe Alexandra on Saturday, 24th July (kick-off, 3pm).

A further pre-season friendly is being finalised for Saturday, 31st July with details to be announced in due course.

Supporters are advised that no details have yet been agreed concerning potential ticket and/or streaming arrangements for the pre-season friendlies. 

The club continues to closely monitor the UK Government’s announcements regarding lifting of lockdown restrictions and awaits the subsequent guidance from the EFL and the relevant health and safety authorities. As soon as definitive information is available it will be shared with supporters.

The new EFL Championship season starts on the weekend of Saturday, 7th August with a trip to the Ricoh Arena to face Coventry City.
