Despite suffering defeat to Luton Town on Tuesday night, Freeman insists confidence in the dressing room has not been affected and that the players are excited for the challenge of facing four of the division's promotion contenders in the next four games before the March international break.
Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "Obviously in recent weeks a lot of our games have been decided by the odd goal either way and you're always living life on the edge when the games are so tight. We're aware of that but the promising thing is that we're creating those chances because it would be more worrying for us as a squad if we weren't creating the opportunities and were worrying about where the next goal is coming from.
"Morale is still pretty good to be fair. We played quite well in the first half on Tuesday, should have taken our chances and if we'd have scored the first goal I think we would have gone on to win the game two or three-nil. Of course there's always a risk when you don't take those chances that the opposition can grab a goal in the final 20 minutes which is what happened so it was a tough one to take.
"It's that conversion rate that we need to improve to turn good performances into good results. We're showing a lot of good signs and we feel as a team that it's starting to work and once we start converting those chances I think we'll be fine. We've been on a good run of form of late and we need to take that confidence and that belief into the game on Saturday.
"We know what to expect from Watford on Saturday. We've watched videos of them and done our homework so we've got a gameplan which we'll look to execute and do our best to take the three points. Tuesday night proved there are no easy games in the Championship but we've got really good strength in depth and everyone is in a good place both physically and mentally to go and attack these next few games before the international break.
"It has been a tough season for me personally, both mentally and physically. This is the only injury I've ever had in my career so it's not something I've been used to but I'm really happy that it's over with and I can get back to playing again. It's still a bit of a gradual process for me because after having that much time out, it's never going to click straight away but I'm happy with my performances and it has been so good to be back."
