Forest Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Sophie Domingo ahead of the new 2022/23 campaign.
The forward joins from East Midlands rivals Derby County Women and has also featured for Leicester City Women ahead of her move to The Reds.
Capped at England Under 19 level, Domingo scooped The Rams' Young Player of the Season award in 2019/20 and becomes Andy Cook's fifth summer signing.
“Sophie is a phenomenal signing for us," said Cook.
"She is a player that I’ve admired for many years. I was at the cup final for Loughborough when she scored 5 against Northumbria and she was unplayable that day.
"Sophie’s still young and will continue to get better during her time here. She’s always caused us problems when we've come up against her before and I'm delighted to welcome Sophie here.
"She’s got pace, good technique and is a great person so we're all looking forward to working with Sophie this season."
After arriving on Trentside, the 21-year-old says's she can't wait to get going in the Garibaldi shirt.
“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season, I am excited for a new challenge and to be a part of the great set they have created here.
"It’s been nice getting to know the players and staff and they’ve all made me feel really welcome, so I can’t wait to get the season started!”
The Reds travel to Sunderland on Sunday for their final pre-season fixture, kick-off 2pm at Eppleton CW.
