We have completed our latest summer signing with the arrival of Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves.

Here are five things you should know about the 22-year-old attacking midfielder…

Coached by Lyttle

Born in Stafford, Gibbs-White later attended Thomas Felford School in Shropshire, where he was coached by former Forest defender Des Lyttle.

Lyttle signed for Forest from Swansea in 1993, spending six years at The City Ground and making over 185 appearances for The Reds.

Haven’t we met?

During an eventful 2021/22 campaign, Gibbs-White featured five times against Forest.

His first appearance at The City Ground came in the Carabao Cup first round for Wolves, scoring in a 4-0 win before scoring for Sheffield United in November’s 1-1 draw.

Gibbs-White registered an assist for Billy Sharp in his first appearance against The Reds back in March, before assisting in the play-off semi-final first leg at Bramall Lane and then scoring at The City Ground in a hectic second leg.

First team debut

Gibbs-White made his professional debut aged just 16-years-old.

The midfielder came on as a substitute in Wolves’ FA Cup third round win over Stoke City in January 2017, replacing Joe Mason in the 62nd minute.

World Cup final goal

Gibbs-White found himself on the scoresheet as England U17 won the World Cup back in 2017.

The midfielder’s goal made it 2-2 on the night after Steve Cooper’s side found themselves 2-0 down, with Phil Foden’s brace and Marc Guehi’s goal securing a 5-2 win for the Young Lions in the final.

First Wolves goal

Gibbs-White’s first goal for Wolves came in Europe.

The midfielder netted in a 4-0 second leg win over FC Pyunik in the Europea League in August 2019.
