This will tell us plenty about Forest’s playoff aspirations and Steve Cooper will be urging his side to build on Sunday’s FA Cup victory over Leicester City.

Forest were excellent value for that success but will need a repeat of that performance to claim a positive result at high-flying Blackburn on Wednesday.

A late Darragh Lenihan goal was the difference between the two sides at The City Ground in August but this is a much-changed Forest side and The Reds will be planning their revenge.
Blackburn are promotion contenders but it would be foolish to write The Reds off, especially after the highs of Sunday’s FA Cup success.
A win for Forest here could see The Reds climb up to sixth in the table and the play-off places are a realistic target for Cooper’s side in the coming months.
