Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce that Pharrell Johnson has signed a new deal with the club.

The defender, who joined the Academy as a youngster, has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, with the club holding a one-year extension option.

Johnson featured 17 times in the U18 Premier League as Warren Joyce's side finished fourth in their first season as a Category One outfit.

The left-sided centre-half also played twice in our impressive FA Youth Cup run, including at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the final.

After signing his new deal, Johnson said: "I’m really grateful to have been offered my professional contract. It’s a great feeling but I know there is a lot of hard work and a long way to go.

"I can’t wait to get started this season with the under 21s, I want to be involved as much as I can every week and look to be involved with the first team at some point."
