Nottingham Forest has completed the signing of 19-year-old Costa Rica midfielder Brandon Aguilera who joins from LD Alajuelense on a four-year contract.

Aguilera made his debut for Costa Rica in the final CONCACAF qualification group game versus USA, in March, and he has won three caps for his nation ahead of the World Cup finals in Qatar in November.

After signing for The Reds, Aguilera returns immediately to Costa Rica to complete a six-month loan with Guanacasteca before joining up with The Reds’ squad.

“I would like to thank God for this great opportunity with Nottingham Forest,” said Aguilera. “It’s a dream come true for me to come over to England and be part of this club, which has such rich traditions and history that’s known around the world.

“The City Ground is a fantastic stadium and I can’t wait to experience it in full voice in the future.”
