- Mitchell strike and Greengrass brace secures win over Cheltenham Town Ladies
Andy Cook made one change to the side which beat West Brom on Thursday night, with last week's goalscorer Gianna Mitchell replacing Naomi Powell in the starting line-up.
Inside a minute, Charley Docherty slipped in Rachel Brown who fired over from inside the area.
Midway through the first half, The Reds broke the deadlock. Georgia Hewitt's cross from the right found Mitchell who chested down and rifled an effort into the top corner for two goals in as many games.
In the 36th minute, Forest doubled their lead. Lyndsey Harkin picked out Rosie Axten in space on the left flank, before the attacker drove into the box and pulled the ball back for Charlotte Greengrass to sweep home.
After a strong half, The Reds headed into the break two goals to the good.
HALF-TIME: Cheltenham Town Ladies 0-2 Forest Women
The Reds looked to pick up from where they left off in the second half, as Charley Docherty's cross from the right picked out Mitchell who poked an effort goalwaeds, but her shot was saved.
In the 57th minute, Mitchell's inswinging cross found Greengrass as she headed back across goal for Docherty to fire high and wide.
But on the hour mark, Forest found a third goal. Intricate build-up play involving Mitchell, Hewitt and Greengrass on the edge of the area resulted in the latter arrowing an effort into the top corner for 3-0.
Rachel Brown made way for Niamh Reynolds in The Reds' first change on 64 minutes, before Becky Anderson's dangerous free-kick forced Cheltenham's goalkeeper into a good save.
In the 76th minute, Cook made a triple change Anderson, Olivia Cook and Hewitt made way for Mai Moncaster, Powell and Grace Walters.
With seven minutes remaining, Moncaster saw an effort tipped around the post before goalkeeper Emily Batty made way for Aja Aguirre in the dying embers.
The Reds held onto their deserved lead, booking their place in the final with a comfortable 3-0 win.
Forest will face AFC Wimbledon Ladies at Solihull Moors Football Club on the 24th of April, 11am kick-off.
