Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Jordan Smith has signed a new deal with the club.

The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a new contract which keeps him at The City Ground until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Smith joined the Forest academy at the age of seven and has made a total of 54 first-team appearances for The Reds.

After signing his new deal, Smith said: "I'm delighted to be staying with the football club.

"We're in such a good position at the minute and everyone is looking upwards. We're doing really well in the league and on an exciting cup run.

"The environment is fantastic and when you see how close the fans and players are; it's probably the best it's been in my entire time at the club.

"When the manager and coaching staff approached me to offer me a new deal, it was always going to be very tough to turn down and I'm delighted to be here.

"The reason that we are all performing to a high level is because the work we put in everyday on the training pitch and we all raise each other's game and standards.

"It's a really exciting time to be part of the club."
