Head Coach Steve Cooper said he was pleased with the application of his players following The Reds' 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace at The City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Morgan Gibbs-White's second goal of the campaign secured victory for Forest in the final game before the World Cup break, while also securing a second clean sheet in a row following the midweek victory against Tottenham.
Speaking after the fixture, Cooper had nothing but praise for his players' attitude as he reflected on the opening months of the Premier League campaign.
"The players deserved the win, the attitude they've shown during this period has been very impressive and never once have I looked at the guys and thought that they're not trying or not with us," said Cooper.
"We were good for the win, we had a really clear plan of how we thought the game would go and although we rode our luck with the penalty, they had no other shots on goal.
"We looked a real threat and performances like these give us a good reference point and we want to continue improving. There were a lot of good things in the game, we're not going to get carried away but we're happy with the win.
"When we get back from a small break we're really going to commit to the plan and make the international break a hard-working one in terms of learning, reflecting and being productive so that we can come back a better team.
"The fans have been incredible this year, they've always stayed behind us and we hope they can continue to enjoy supporting the team and we have to work hard to make that happen."
