Five Reds could feature in international friendlies for their nations this week as the latest round of fixtures take place.

Serge Aurier will hope to be in action on Wednesday as Ivory Coast face Burundi at Stade de Marrakech, kick-off at 15:00 GMT.

The 29-year-old has 82 caps for his nation ahead of the friendly fixture in Morocco, with Ivory Coast back in action against Burkina Faso on Saturday at the same venue.

Scott McKenna has been named in the Scotland squad for a friendly fixture against Turkey on Wednesday evening, with the clash taking place in Diyarbakir at 17:00 GMT.

It will be Scotland's final fixture of 2022, with McKenna looking to add to his 27 caps to date.

Both Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi have been named in Nigeria's squad ahead of Thursday's friendly against Portugal. The duo will hope for more minutes as Portugal step up preparations for the FIFA World Cup.

The fixture will take place at Sporting Lisbon's Estadio Jose Alvalade, kick-off 18:45 GMT.

Ahead of Switzerland's World Cup opener next week, Remo Freuler could feature in their friendly against Ghana on Thursday at the Baniyas Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The midfielder has 48 caps ahead of the tournament in Qatar, with Switzerland taking part in Group G alongside Cameroon, Brazil and Serbia.
