Pre-match press conference

Steve Cooper spoke to the media ahead of tonight's trip across the East Midlands as Forest look to hit the ground running after the latest round of international fixtures.

“The Premier League is tough, it’s exciting and brilliant to be part of. Game by game, it’s a ruthless and tough environment to be in, but we wanted this, we wanted to be part of it and after a couple of disappointing weeks, we're really determined to progress.

Team news

Steve Cooper has revealed that defender Scott McKenna is a doubt for tonight's trip having returned early from Scotland's Nations League camp last week.

The Scot featured twice for his country before missing the final fixture against Ukraine in Poland due to injury, with Cooper admitting he may have to be without the 25-year-old on this occassion.

"Scott’s a doubt having had to withdraw early from the Scotland camp, so with regards to Monday, we’re still not sure whether he’s going to be available for that.

“But the guys who stayed with us, and those who have come back from international duty are all good to go."

Meanwhile, Leicester City are waiting on the fitness of trio Wilfred Ndidi, Patson Daka and Dennis Praet ahead of tonight's fixture and will be without longer-term absentees Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand.

Last time out

The Reds last met Leicester in February as Forest recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory at The City Ground in the Emirates FA Cup. Goals from Philip Zinckernagel, Brennan Johnson, Joe Worrall and Djed Spence handing us a fourth round victory.

The last time the two sides faced each other in a league fixture was back in November 2013, The Reds claiming a 2-0 win as Simon Cox and Jamie Mackie netted first half goals to secure the points.

RECENT FORM

Tonight's hosts were defeated 6-2 by Tottenham Hotspur prior to the international break, a result which leaves Brendan Rodgers' side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table after seven fixtures. The Foxes were also beaten during their last outing at the King Power, losing 1-0 to Manchester United.

Forest fell to defeat last time out in the league as Fulham came away from The City Ground with the points following a 3-2 victory, Lewis O'Brien and Taiwo Awoniyi on the scoresheet for The Reds.
