Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the signing of Ivory Coast captain Serge Aurier, subject to visa approval.

The right-back came through the ranks in France, playing for Lens, Toulouse and Paris Saint-Germain, winning eight major trophies including 2 Ligue 1 titles with the latter.

The 29-year-old moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, spending four years in North London and making a total of 110 appearances for Spurs across all competitions, including being part of the squad that reached the 2019 Champions League final.

Aurier has also won 81 caps for the Ivory Coast national team, making his international debut against Gambia in June 2013 and winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, where he was also named in the team of the tournament.

The defender made 24 appearances for Villarreal last season, including five times in the UEFA Champions League as they reached the last four of the competition.

Welcome to Forest, Serge!
