Twelve of our first-team players will represent their countries away on international duty this week in what will be the final international break before the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Here’s a list of who has been called up and when they will be in action…

Dean Henderson has been called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of the upcoming Nations League fixtures.

The Three Lions will face Italy at the San Siro on Friday 23rd September and host Germany at Wembley on Monday 26th September, with both games kicking off at 7:45pm.

Morgan Gibbs-White was called up to the England Under-21 squad, but has had to withdraw due to injury.

Brennan Johnson, Neco Williams and Wayne Hennessey have each been called up to the Wales squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Rob Page’s side face Belgium in Brussels on Thursday 22nd September and welcome Poland to Cardiff on Sunday 25th September, with both games kicking off at 7:45pm.

Scotland play three times in the space of six days with Scott McKenna looking to get minutes under his belt for his country.

Steve Clarke’s side host Ukraine at Hampden Park on Wednesday 21st September and then Republic of Ireland on Saturday 24th September, before completing their Nations League triple-header with a trip to Krakow to face Ukraine on Tuesday 27th September, all kick-offs at 7:45pm UK time.

Remo Freuler has been called up to represent Switzerland in their upcoming Nations League fixtures.

The Swiss face Spain in Zaragoza on Saturday 24th September before welcoming the Czech Republic to St. Gallen on Tuesday 27th September, both games kicking off at 7:45pm.

Renan Lodi has been called up to the Brazil squad as they face Ghana and Tunisia in France, Friday 23rd September and Tuesday 27th September respectively.

Taiwo Awoniyi has both been called up to the Nigeria squad for their friendly against Algeria on Tuesday 27th September, 8pm kick-off UK time.

Emmanuel Dennis, meanwhile, has withdrawn due to injury.

Willy Boly and Serge Aurier have been called up to the Ivory Coast squad ahead of their upcoming friendlies.

They host Togo on Saturday 24th September (5pm kick-off) and face Guinea on Tuesday 27th September (7pm kick-off).

Serge Aurier has been called up to the Ivory Coast squad.

Moussa Niakhaté has received his first call-up to the Senegal national team.

The defender will join Cheikhou Kouyaté in representing Senegal against Bolivia on Saturday 24th September (6pm kick-off) and against Iran on Tuesday 27th September.

Six of our academy players have also earned call-ups, with Dale Taylor and Aaron Donnelly both named in the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad to face Scotland Under-21s.

Jamie McDonnell has been named in the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad whilst Oli Hammond has been called up to represent Wales Under-21s against Austria in Vienna on Tuesday 27th September.

Justin Hanks and Ben Hammond have been named in the Wales Under-19 squad for their upcoming Euro U19 qualifiers against Hungary, Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar.
