Head Coach Steve Cooper insists his side are "determined to progress" as Forest return to Premier League action on Monday.

The Reds travel to the King Power Stadium on Monday night to face Leicester City (kick-off 8pm) having last played before the international break a fortnight ago.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the short trip across the East Midlands, Cooper said he and his side are determined to progress and will continue to embrace the challenge of the division.

“I think a lot has happened since that whirlwind of getting promoted at Wembley and preparing for the new season. Recruitment, scheduling and everything else that has come with transitioning to life in the Premier League both on and off the pitch.

“There’s definitely been some real positives in terms of that transition, but there’s been some things that haven’t started as we would have liked, results in the last few games obviously being one and parts of our performances.

“The Premier League is tough, it’s exciting and brilliant to be part of. Game by game, it’s a ruthless and tough environment to be in, but we wanted this, we wanted to be part of it and after a couple of disappointing weeks, we're really determined to progress.

"We need to pick up more points than what we have done, we can't lose sight of that, but it's now part of the challenge of what was always going to be a tough season."
