Forest defender Harry Toffolo insists that The Reds must remain positive heading into the final nine games of the season.

The Reds found themselves on the end of a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road on Tuesday night despite taking the lead early on through Orel Mangala.

Goals from Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra turned the game on its head before half-time, with The Reds unable to find a leveller in the second half and ultimately fall to defeat.

The result leaves Forest sat 17th in the Premier League table ahead of Saturday’s trip to Aston Villa.

Speaking after the defeat at Elland Road, Toffolo insisted that Forest must remain positive and work even harder on the training ground to turn their form around.

He said: “We got off to a dream start, but we lost a few duels in the game and when you do that you get undone at this level.

“The first 20 minutes of the game was exactly how we wanted it to go before they scored, but it’s pointless doing it for 20 minutes, we need to compete for the whole 45.

“It’s about remaining positive, there are nine games to go and this is far from done.

“We have to get back to the training ground and work even harder now. We’ll look at it, we’ll keep moving forward and there’s nine games to go to control our destiny.

“We need to start winning, we know that, and it won’t be due to a lack of trying. We’re going to compete and make sure we are at our highest level.”
