Forest Women travelled to Yorkshire for their final away league fixture of the season as they faced Brighouse Town in the Northern Premier Division.
Andy Cook made one change to the side that defeated West Brom 5-0 at Halbrooke Stadium as Charlotte Steggles returned to starting line-up for Niamh Reynolds.
The Reds worked their first opportunity at goal in the opening minute when Charlotte Greengrass found Sophie Domingo in space, the striker fired wide of the Brighouse goal.
The visitors found themselves a goal down in the 15th minute when a loose pass back to goal was capitalised on by the opposition striker to slot home.
21 minutes and Brighouse should have had doubled their lead as their striker forced an error from the Forest defence. Fortunately for The Reds, the striker fired over the Forest goal.
A quiet period of play before the break with neither side creating any significant opportunity at goal, as The Reds went into half-time behind.

The Reds were back on level terms 10 minutes after the restart as Becky Anderson’s free kick smashes against the Brighouse bar and Forest managed to score from the resulting rebound.
Forest almost had their second of the afternoon when Mai Moncaster’s effort was tipped over the bar by the Brighouse ‘keeper.
Andy Cook made the first change of the game as Hayley James was introduced in the 62nd minute as Georgia Hewitt was replaced.
Greengrass came close to scoring on 70 minutes as the number 22 couldn’t quite reach Domingo’s low cross into the box.
The Reds’ head coach brought Niamh Reynolds and Yasmin Mosby into the action with 15 minutes remaining as Amy West and Olivia Cook left the field.
With eight minutes remaining the visitors hit the post and bar within the same minute of play as Greengrass and James were denied by the woodwork.
Cook made his final change of the afternoon as Mai Moncaster was replaced by Naomi Powell.
