MEMORABLE CUP RUN

Last season's Carabao Cup run was a memorable one which saw Forest reach the semi-finals for the first time in 31 years.

The run started with a 3-0 second round win over Grimsby Town, with Sam Surridge's brace and Ryan Yates' strike securing the victory at Blundell Park.

In the next round, Forest hosted Tottenham Hotspur, where goals from Renan Lodi and Jesse Lingard sent Forest into round four.

Forest convincingly beat Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, with a Brennan Johnson brace and goals from Jesse Lingard and Taiwo Awoniyi securing the victory.

In the quarter-finals, Forest drew 1-1 with Wolves in normal time before winning 4-3 on penalties in a dramatic shootout win.

In the semi-finals, Forest lost 5-0 on aggregate to eventual winners Manchester United.

PLAYED FOR BOTH: TENDAYI DARIKWA

Darikwa was born in Nottingham and came through the ranks at Chesterfield.

In 2015, the full-back joined Burnley and went on to spend two seasons with the Clarets, making 29 appearances.

In 2017, Darikwa moved to Forest and went on to make 63 appearances during a four-year spell on Trentside.

The defender joined Wigan in 2021, and now plys his trade in Cyprus for Apollon Limassol.
