Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of Murillo from Corinthians.

The young Brazilian defender has signed a five-year contract which keeps him at The City Ground until at least the summer of 2028.

Murillo arrives on Trentside having spent the last four years at Corinthians, joining the club’s youth setup in 2019.

The 21-year-old made his first team debut in April and became a regular in the heart of Corinthians’ defence, so far making 13 starts as he impressed in this year’s Série A campaign.

The left-footed central defender now makes the move to England to become Forest’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

Murillo will wear the number 40 during his time on Trentside.

Murillo said: “I am very excited to join Nottingham Forest.

“It is a big club with a huge fanbase and I cannot wait to start playing at The City Ground.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world, so I can’t wait to test myself and give my all for this club.”

Forest’s Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson said: "Murillo has shown his high level of ability and potential at Corinthians so naturally we are delighted that he now joins Nottingham Forest.

"At only 21 years old we know how high his potential is and we look forward to helping him to maximise that."
