The Reds returned to Eastwood for a league fixture for the first time since October 2022 to face Boldmere St. Michaels.
Andy Cook made one change to the side which faced Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday, with striker Yasmin Mosby returning to the starting line-up to replace the injured Mai Moncaster.
It was the visitors who created the first opportunity at goal in the 7th minute when The Mikes struck the bar with a long-range effort.
Forest responded with an opening of their own as Sophie Domingo picked up a loose ball in the box; her shot was cleared away by the Boldmere defence in the 8th minute.
Charlotte Steggles found Mosby with a ball over the top of the visitors’ back-line on 24 minutes; the number nine worked well to set up Charlotte Greengrass before the striker slotted home a composed finish into the bottom right corner.
The Reds doubled their advantage only four minutes later when Steggles again picked out an attacker in Garibaldi, this time it was Domingo who rounded the Boldmere ‘keeper and scored into an empty net.
34 minutes in and Greengrass worked another opening at the visitors’ goal, firing a dangerous shot over the bar from close range.
Striker Mosby looked to add a third goal of the afternoon, although her shot was comfortably saved by the opposition goalkeeper.
The Reds continued to push and extended their lead when Domingo dribbled past an opposition defender in the 42ndminute and sent in a dangerous cross which was claimed by the Boldmere ‘keeper.
Forest were rewarded for their constant pressure when Greengrass scored her second goal of the game after the number 22 drifted past the ‘keeper and fired home just before the half time whistle.
