HEAD COACH'S VIEW
Head Coach Steve Cooper spoke to the media ahead of the trip to the Fylde Coast to preview Saturday's clash.
"An FA Cup tie away from home, on a Saturday at 3pm and Blackpool are competing well in the Championship. It's probably the most classic FA Cup tie you can get at this stage and we look forward to that.
"We're a proud, historic Club in England and we need to represent the FA Cup well for what it stands for. We go there with real positivity and intentions to do well knowing that it's going to be a tough game but one we're looking forward to."

LAST TIME OUT
We last faced Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on 2 April 2022 as The Reds secured a 4-1 victory against The Seasiders, goals from Philip Zinckernagel, Brennan Johnson (2) and Sam Surridge earning the points.
Saturday's meeting will be the first Emirates FA Cup clash between the two sides in their history, having never previously faced each other in the competition.

RECENT FORM
Michael Appleton has been in charge of Blackpool since June 2022, with his side sitting 22nd in the Championship after the opening half of the campaign. In their most recent fixture, The Seasiders earned a 1-1 draw against Sunderland at Bloomfield Road on New Year's Day.
Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell captains the side, while Jerry Yates is their top goalscorer with nine goals in all competitions.

The Reds head into this weekend's game following a 1-0 victory against Southampton at St Mary's on Wednesday evening, Taiwo Awoniyi's goal earning Forest all three points to move Cooper's side up to 15th in the Premier League table.
Awoniyi is our current top scorer with five goals, while Brennan Johnson has four to his name ahead of the trip to Bloomfield Road.

PLAYED FOR BOTH: DAVID VAUGHAN
The technical midfielder joined Blackpool in August 2008 following a one-year spell in Spain with Real Socieded, making nine league appearances for the now La Liga outfit before returning to the Football League.
The former Wales international made 116 appearances for The Tangerines in all competitions during a three-year stay, helping win promotion to the Premier League in 2010 before joining Sunderland the following summer.

Vaughan joined Forest, initially on loan, in 2013 after 59 appearances with The Black Cats. The move for Vaughan was made permanent the following summer, where he'd go on to make 111 appearances in all competitions for The Reds.
The Welshman would then go on to sign for Notts County after leaving The City Ground in 2018 before joining Nantwich Town in 2021.
