Brennan Johnson has been voted as the Carabao Cup Player of the Round following his performance against Blackburn Rovers in December.
The Reds defeated Jon Dahl Tomasson's side 4-1 at Ewood Park, with Johnson netting a brace alongside goals from Jesse Lingard and Taiwo Awoniyi to set up tomorrow's quarter final tie against Wolves at The City Ground.
“Thank you to everyone who voted. I’m really pleased to win this award after what was a really good performance and result against Blackburn," said Johnson.
“I was obviously delighted to hit the ground running from the World Cup with two goals, but it was a team effort and everyone played their part in the victory.
“We now need to show the same mentality as we prepare for our quarter final against Wolves.”
