Brennan Johnson says he was pleased with how The Reds managed come from behind twice to earn a point against Everton, but admits Forest need to perform better overall following the 2-2 draw on Trentside.

The 21-year-old netted a brace to take his tally to seven in the Premier League this season, but Steve Cooper's side had to do it the hard way by fighting from behind twice against The Toffees.

Speaking after the fixture, Johnson says The Reds can take confidence from the character shown in the fixture but admits they shouldn't be getting themselves into the position to fight back in the first place.

"We're pleased with the fact that we came from behind twice to get a point but we're really disappointed with the goals we gave away. We felt it was a good opportunity for us to get three points but we have move on.

"In this division there is a lot of pressure on the games towards the bottom of the table and we knew we couldn't afford to lose.

"We started poorly and didn't get out of the traps quick enough and knew we had to do the basics better in the second half.

"To come back from being behind twice is something that we haven't done yet this season but we overcame that to continue our unbeaten run at home and we'll take that character into the Spurs game."
