Forest will mark Remembrance Day in Sunday's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.
A number of military Forest Forces veterans and members of the Mercian Regiment will be present at The City Ground as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Before kick-off, a wreath will be laid and a minute’s silence will be held to remember the fallen during a rendition of the Last Post.
The club therefore kindly advises supporters take their seats at least 15 minutes before kick-off to ensure that everybody can enjoy the commemorations and pay their respects.
Forest players will wear poppies on their shirts for the fixture in respect of those sacrificed their lives.
The poppy-adorned shirts will then be made available to fans through exclusive digital auctions via MatchWorn Shirt, with the proceeds raised being donated to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Each shirt will also be individually signed by the respective player who wore it.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning.
We will remember them.
