Murillo has spoken of his gratitude of being able to realise a childhood dream by playing in the Premier League, as the Forest defender continues to settle into life in Nottingham.

The Brazilian has impressed in his last two appearances having made his debut against Brentford, helping Steve Cooper's side keep a clean sheet in an impressive display against Crystal Palace before the international break.

But the defender remains focused on what's to come, speaking about his aspirations for the season as well as his relationship with his fellow Brazilian teammates below...

On settling in at Forest...

"Firstly I have to thank God, for the opportunity he's given me. I've always dreamed of playing in the Premier League, but I never imagined it would happen so soon.

"We don't understand God's plans. When you least expect it, you're thinking about one thing and God provides something even greater than you could imagine.

"I'm really happy, I feel great, I've been made really welcome by the lads, they've been brilliant. Despite only being here for two and a half months I already feel at home.

"I'm really happy with everything that's been happening and I'm grateful to the Head Coach and to Nottingham Forest for showing faith in my potential and my football.

"Now it's time to work hard and do my best."

On his relationships with his Brazilian teammates...

"We always say that fellow Brazilians abroad are like family and that's been my experience here.

"They helped me a lot when I arrived, especially Felipe who also played for Corinthians and we play in the same position, he's been helping me a lot. As he's a more experienced player and been at different clubs he gives me advice about what I need to do, he helps me a lot on the pitch.

"Danilo and Andrey are a bit younger, they're closer to my age so we have a laugh. Wherever Brazilians go we're fun-loving, always laughing and joking. We have great fun together and we're really like a family.

"For example, when I arrived I couldn't move into my house, the flat where I am now. Danilo called me over and said 'stay at my house, you're family, you're a great lad and we get on really well, come stay at my house', this communication really helps.

"Brazilians have big hearts, good people and what can I say about them? Felipe, Danilo and Andrey are great people. They're like my family outside of Brazil. I haven’t known them for that long, but they've shown themselves to be good, trustworthy people with big hearts.

"Hopefully this connection we have will continue and we'll remain friends if anyone moves on in the future. It's a great relationship, we have lunch together as well, we can't go without our Brazilian food, we miss it a lot. Sometimes I have lunch at Danilo's house, or we'll have a barbecue together.

"It's a really nice relationship."

On hopes for the rest of the season...

"I had a conversation with one of the coaching staff today and he asked me how I felt about the club, the team and how far we could go.

"I told him that with the players we have, if we can unite all these players and everyone plays their game together, complementing and helping each other, giving our all for each other, we can achieve great things."

On Luton...

"In Brazil, we know the English clubs well as we follow the Premier League.

"We know that there are no easy games in the Premier League, it's like the Brazilian league, there are no easy games, even those between larger and smaller clubs have always been difficult games.

"That's why I think it's the greatest league in the world, the strongest and most competitive, as you have teams with different line ups, different styles and it's tough.

"I think it's about working hard, the Head Coach will brief us about Luton's team, how they play, how they bring the ball out, marking them.

"Regardless of the opposition we always have to be prepared for everything."
