Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley on Monday night.

Head Coach Steve Cooper made four changes to the side that won at Chelsea before the international break, in a line-up which saw Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ibrahim Sangaré make their debuts for the club.

Following a minute's silence, Forest made a bright start to the contest, setting a high tempo from the off.

The Reds carved out their first real chance on 16 minutes, with Taiwo Awoniyi dispossessing Jordan Beyer high up the field and finding Hudson-Odoi's whose first-time effort was parried away by James Trafford.

Just before the half hour, Matt Turner was then called upon to keep out Zeki Amdouni's effort from range, getting down low to save the forward's strike.

But four minutes before the break, Turner was unable to deny Amdouni for a second time, with the latter firing an unstoppable effort into the back of the net.

HALF-TIME: Forest 0-1 Burnley

Cooper rang the changes early in the second half, with Nuno Tavares replacing Gonzalo Montiel at full-back.

On the hour though, Forest got themselves back on level terms in impressive style.

Awoniyi kept play alive and teed up Hudson-Odoi who composed himself on the edge of the area before bending his right-footed strike into the top corner in off the post.

Cooper made two more changes ten minutes later with Ryan Yates and Divock Origi replacing Hudson-Odoi and Orel Mangala.

Burnley then thought they had regained the lead moments later when Sander Berge teed up Lyle Foster who slotted home, but the former was adjudged to have handled the ball in the build-up by VAR.

Seven minutes were added on at the end of the second half after Awoniyi made way for Chris Wood, as Burnley were then reduced to ten men. Following a VAR check, Foster was dismissed for an off-the-ball incident with Yates.
