A stunning first half performance helped Forest return to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Fulham on Tuesday night.

The Reds started the game with real purpose and took the lead inside nine minutes. Morgan Gibbs-White sent a beautiful ball through for Callum Hudson-Odoi with the outside of his foot, and the latter composed himself before cutting inside and finding the far corner.

Forest could have doubled their lead after when, again, Gibbs-White produced a great turn on halfway to race beyond Tosin before squaring for Hudson-Odoi, but Bernd Leno was out well to smother the shot.

But Forest weren't kept out for much longer, and they did make it 2-0 on 19 minutes. Chris Wood received the ball from Murillo 20 yards from goal, and the New Zealander curled a stunning effort into the bottom corner to make it eight goals in nine Premier League matches.

Forest continued to dominate proceedings, forcing Fulham boss Marco Silva into making a triple change on the half hour.

The Reds then hit the woodwork following great work down the right between Anthony Elanga and Gibbs-White. The former played a neat one-two with his teammate, before seeing his effort spin off the far post.

Before the break though, Forest added a third. Impressive build-up play once again saw Gibbs-White exchange passes with Danilo, before the Forest number 10 composed himself and coolly slotted into the far corner for 3-0.

Having gone into the break 3-0 up, Forest did concede early in the second half when Tosin headed in from a corner four minutes into the second half.

Both sides were to have chances following on from that, with Kenny Tete glancing a header off the woodwork, after Neco Williams' deflected effort also struck the frame of the goal.

But Forest held on to all three points, signalling a return to winning ways for Nuno Espírito Santo's side.
