RECENT FORM

Forest were held at Pride Park last weekend as a Charlotte Greengrass strike secured a point on the road for The Reds.

The draw leaves Forest third in the league table after Burnley comfortably defeated AFC Fylde midweek to jump above Davies’ side in the Northern Premier Division.

Sunday’s opponents Stourbridge sit 10th in the table with a seven-point buffer over Huddersfield Town, who occupy 11th in the relegation zone, although The Terriers have played two games fewer.

Stourbridge prepare for their third consecutive home game this weekend having suffered back-to-back heavy defeats at the War Memorial Athletic Ground to Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The two sides last met on the opening day of the season with Forest running out winners in a dominant display at Grange Park. Debutants Nat Johnson and Holly Manders netted for the hosts whilst Sophie Domingo and Charlotte Greengrass scored a brace and hat-trick, respectively.

THE HEAD COACH’S VIEW

Carly reflected on her side’s performance at Pride Park last time out: “We’ve reviewed the game and were pleased with certain elements of our game and the way that we played on the day – we created a variety of different chances. Obviously what was missing was that clinical edge; that’s something we need to improve on.”

The Reds’ Head Coach confirmed that there were no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, although Forest will be without striker Louanne Worsey, who has been called up to the England under-19s squad.

Davies spoke on the challenge expected this weekend against Stourbridge: “I’m sure that they will be expecting a tough fixture. Stourbridge are staying above the drop zone at the minute, and they’ll be pushing to retain their position in the league.

They are going to be organised and try to make it difficult for us, but we just have to focus on ourselves as always and hopefully be better in the final third.”
