Forest were defeated 3-1 by Tottenham Hotspur in North London on Sunday afternoon.

Nuno Espírito Santo named an unchanged side from the one that beat Fulham 3-1 in midweek, as Forest looked to pick up another positive result.

They very nearly took the lead in incredible style when Murillo, from well inside his own half, tried to catch Guglielmo Vicario off his line, but his shot flew just wide.

Four minutes later though, the Brazilian was unfortunate to divert Timo Werner's dangerous low cross into the back of his own net, as the hosts took the lead.

But Forest responded well from that setback, and found an equaliser 12 minutes later.

Good work down the right-hand side from Neco Williams and Anthony Elanga saw the latter cut the ball across goal for Chris Wood to fire home for his fourth goal in as many games.

Forest then had a golden chance to take the lead minutes later when Ryan Yates' shot was parried by Vicario into Wood's path, but the striker hit the woodwork from point-blank range.

Looking to take their momentum into the second half, Forest fell behind again whe Micky van de Ven emphatically found the top corner from the edge of the area.

Spurs doubled their lead in quick succession when Pedro Porro's sumptous strike found the back of the net as Ange Postecoglou's side added a third goal, which was too much for Forest to come back from.
