Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that Hayley James has signed a new contract.

The defender, who joined The Reds in 2020, has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal to extend her stay at The City Ground.

James has made over 60 appearances for the Club, winning the FAWNL Plate and Cup during her stint on Trentside as well as playing a key role in title-winning side of 2022/23.

Nottingham Forest Women Head Coach, Carly Davies, added: “We are pleased to have Hayley renew her contract. Hayley worked exceptionally hard to regain fitness and return to the squad following a knee injury last season.

“Hayley adds a calmness to our game in the way she plays and will certainly strengthen our back line for the upcoming campaign. We are delighted to have her back fit again.”

James spoke on her new deal: “It feels great to be back here for another year. Obviously last year didn't quite go to plan for me with injury, so I’m just excited to get back out there and show everyone what I can do and hopefully earn my place back in the starting eleven."
