Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of Katie Dungate on loan.
The forward joins Carly Davies’ side on a season-long loan from Women’s Championship outfit Birmingham City ahead of The Reds’ Opening Day clash this Sunday.
Dungate arrives at The City Ground having signed a two-year deal with The Blues last season from Women’s Super League side Chelsea.
The now 19-year-old enjoyed a successful stint in the WSL Academy scoring 16 times for Chelsea, in a season where The Blues would win the WSL Academy league cup.
Nottingham Forest Women Head Coach, Carly Davies, said: “Katie is an exciting young talent with a bright future ahead. She is a technically gifted player with the versatility to operate anywhere on the left side of the pitch, adding another dynamic to our playing style.
“We pride ourselves on creating an environment for players such as Katie to fulfil their potential and we look forward to supporting her on that journey.”
Upon signing, Dungate added: “I’m buzzing to sign here, I think coming on loan to Forest will help my development – I just want gain as much experience and first team minutes as I can.
“The ambitions of the Club are great, they want to be in the Championship next season and I’m a player that wants to be a part of that side, so it was a good fit for me.”
