Forest made it four Premier League wins on the bounce for the first time since 1995 with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.

Anthony Elanga’s third goal in as many games secured a 1-0 win for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side on a foggy afternoon on the banks of the River Trent.

Forest held to withstand early pressure from the visitors, but were a constant threat on the break throughout the contest.

And it was Elanga who rounded off a quick counter to put Forest ahead on 28 minutes, as the forward latched onto Morgan Gibbs-White's inch-perfect through ball before coolly slotting beyond Fraser Forster.

The Reds had Matz Sels to thank on a couple of occasions as he denied Brennan Johnson either side of half time, making two fine stops to deny the former Forest man.

Another former Forest man, Djed Spence, was dismissed in the latter stages of a tightly-contested second half as the defender picked up a second yellow card.

That eased the pressure in the final moments, with Forest holding onto another three points and keeping a seventh clean sheet of the campaign.
