Forest were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Nuno Espírito Santo made six changes to the side which lost to Arsenal last time out, handing a debut to goalkeeper Matz Sels and starting Taiwo Awoniyi, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga in attack.
Bournemouth made a strong start and took the lead inside six minutes. Luis Sinisterra's in-swinging cross was dangerous, with Justin Kluivert getting the final touch on the line.
Forest responded well though, with Taiwo Awoniyi forcing Neto into a save shortly after and then Ryan Yates' close-range sweeping effort kept out by the Bournemouth 'keeper.
In added time, Forest found a deserved equaliser. Callum Hudson-Odoi made a good challenge to prevent Ryan Christie from igniting a Bournemouth break, before composing himself and bending an effort into the far corner.
The second half was tightly contested, with both sides working their way into dangerous areas but struggling to create any real clear-cut chances.
The hosts were reduced to ten men with six minutes of normal time remaining when Philip Billing brought Hudson-Odoi down from behind, which was subject of a straight red card.
Forest were unable to make their extra-man advantage count in added time, though, with The Reds taking a point back to Nottingham.
