Nuno met the media on Tuesday to preview Forest's Emirates FA Cup third round replay against Blackpool.

The Reds travel to Bloomfield Road on Wednesday night looking to set up a fourth round tie against either Bristol City or West Ham United with a win against the Tangerines.

Forest were held to a 2-2 home draw against Neil Critchley's side, coming from behind to set up a replay having found themselves 2-0 down early on.

Nuno identified Forest's start to the game as a target for improvement as Forest make the journey to the Fylde Coast on Wednesday...

On Blackpool…

“We have to start better than the last game, definitely.

“The mistake from the previous match was the beginning of the game. The goals we conceded were too easy and we have to improve on that.

“We have to start well in the game, be compact and go for the game as we want to go through.”

On the FA Cup…

“It’s very important to us. To me, to the players, to the club, to the fans, to English football.

“It’s a big competition.”

On mood in the camp…

“Results and performances have a big impact on our day-to-day work, but we know this is like life. There are up and downs and you have to react and bounce back.

“The second half against Blackpool was very good, the way we managed to turn the result around, so we’re looking forward to this game.

“We need to go for the game, play well and we must win the match.”

On team spirit…

“We definitely have that.

“We have a very good group, the boys respect each other and help each other.

“It’s in these bad moments where we have to react as a group and that starts tomorrow.”

On Taiwo Awoniyi…

“He’s progressing now. He’s already training on the pitch doing some individual work.

“Hopefully in two weeks’ time he can start joining the group and then it’s about how he feels and getting back the fitness levels.”
